15th Annual ALS Golf Classic Tournament Format
Format:
- 8:30 AM Shotgun Start – 18 hole tournament
- Scramble Format
- Playing from the White Tees, Forward Tees are the Red Tees
- Everyone in the group tees off and the group decides which shot they like the best
- Each member of the group goes to that chosen tee shot and everyone hits their ball from that spot
- The group decides which shot from that spot they like best, each member of the group goes to the chosen shot and everyone hits their ball from that spot
- This process continues throughout the hole, including putts, until someone makes a putt
- This format allows for everyone to play every shot on every whole, but the group will only be recording one score
- Bogey (1 over Par) is the maximum a team can score on a hole, if you reach a bogey, please pick up your ball and move on to the next tee
- There are NO Mulligans
- Hole 10 – Due to the weather: Cart Path Only and “Life, Clean, and Place” your ball before hitting
- The winning group will be determined by lowest team score for the round
- We are relying on the honor system and your integrity
- Please tally your scores before handing in your scorecard
- To determine 1st, 2nd, and 3rd we will be using a Scorecard Playoff system in the event of a tie:
- Lowest back 9 score, followed by:
- Lowest score in last 6 holes, followed by:
- Lowest score in last 3 holes:
Etiquette:
- Play “ready golf” and be prepared to hit your shot when it is your turn
- If you think your ball is going to hit a cart or a person, yell FORE!
- Lastly, remember why we are out here and who we are here to support… HAVE FUN!
